About Me
Hello! I am a certified elementary educator with a Bachelor's degree and over 25 years of hands-on classroom teaching experience. I have proudly earned a Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) designation, a recognition awarded to top-performing educators for excellence in teaching and driving student growth.
Mathematics can sometimes feel intimidating, but my goal is to make it approachable, logical, and even fun for every student.
My Teaching Approach
I specialize in online math tutoring tailored specifically for students in 3rd through 6th grade. Whether your child needs help catching up, mastering tricky concepts (like fractions, long division, or early pre-algebra), or wants to build confidence and get ahead, I customize my lessons to match their unique learning style.
My approach focuses on:
Building Strong Foundations: Strengthening core number sense so students feel secure in their skills.
Step-by-Step Problem Solving
A Growth Mindset: Fostering resilience and confidence so students stop fearing mistakes and start learning from them.
What to Expect in Our Lessons
Engaging Online Sessions: Using digital whiteboards and interactive tools to keep students actively involved.
Personalized Paced Learning: Lessons structured entirely around your child's current curriculum and homework needs.
Parent Communication: Regular updates on your child's progress, strengths, and areas we are targeting next.
