About Autumn
I am currently an assistant teacher in an ESL classroom who has acquired my TEFL certification. I have trained many people in professional work environments, including non-native English speakers. I have participated in some freelance writing, and I have well-developed communicative/interpersonal skills. I have worked in customer service for years now, and I am skilled in the field of interpersonal relations.

I like to induce autonomous learning in my students, where they set their own goals, and I adapt my methods in order to help them achieve their learning goals. I will use multiple methods in my teaching in order to develop a multitude of language areas and skill sets. My methods will be encompassed around the general goal of fluency, and I believe the most effective approach in achieving fluency is a communicative approach. Using this approach, I set the stage for my students to think critically, aurally communicate their thoughts/feelings/ideas in a diverse variety of activities and lessons, and to creatively construct their own understanding. All of my lessons will be multisensory, in order to optimize language retainment and comprehension.
