About Aleksandr

In teaching, I like the fact that I can not only communicate and share knowledge with my students, but also discover something new for myself every day in teaching languages. This is what I enjoy teaching and learning. My students are from different countries, different ages and different levels of Russian.
During the lessons, I also talk about the peculiarities of Russian culture, traditions, important dates, history, and famous people.

About the lesson

My lessons are completely personalized - we talk about how you would like to learn and create your own curriculum.
I have 5 years of teaching experience, certified TEFL / TESOL teacher, Skyteach continuing education courses.
I teach online on three platforms. I have more than 2500 working hours online and more than 500 students from all over the world.
I use an integrated approach, where special attention is paid to pronunciation, the development of competent colloquial speech and the ability to perceive Russian speech by ear.
I use materials from the best Russian methodologists for teaching Russian as a foreign language. I teach reading, writing, grammar.

Aleksandr is very friendly, polite teacher. He is available for lessons on week and weekend as well. He is quite flexible in rescheduling the lessons. A thing that is worthy to me is that he respects my learning pace. Our lessons are doing very well, I clearly notice my progress. I have experienced Russian teachers before but they weren't patient and they didn't understand my difficulties. But with Aleksandr things are doing completely different.

Russian is my native language, which I have spoken all my life.

Famous writers Alexander Pushkin, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Anton Chekhov, Tsar Peter the Great, Empress Catherine II are truly iconic representatives of the Russian language.
Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?
There are many interesting things in the Russian language and Russian culture. For example, the tradition of swimming in the ice hole of a river or lake in winter on Epiphany.
Why does speaking this language matter to you?
For me, the Russian language is a part of me, a part of my soul, my heart. My ancestors spoke Russian, my mother, my friends, my president speak.
What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?
The main difficulties in learning Russian are the conjugation of words according to the six grammatical conjugations and the other difficulty is the verbs of motion.
Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.
When I served in the Soviet army, one of my colleagues was called Avaz. This is in tune with the question in Russian: "And you?" That is, they constantly joked about him: "What is your name?" - "Avas". "And you?"
How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?
My trips to Moscow and St. Petersburg give me motivation and an additional love for the Russian language and Russian culture.

I think that my knowledge, experience, love for what I do, my friendliness and patience make me super professional in teaching Russian.
