About Ailsa
I am a Scottish performer and teacher with a passion for all things musical theatre. I have spent the last 5 years working primarily as a Production Cast Vocalist, most recently on cruise ships, after getting my 1st Class BA(Hons) Musical Theatre.
I began my teaching journey during lockdown with a passion project of creating virtual choir arrangements. This brought me so much joy and I decided to deepen my knowledge of teaching by completing the Vocal Balance Teacher Training course.
I also have experience teaching drama and musical theatre classes for children, so I can adapt my lessons to be super fun and engaging for little ones. Getting into the world of performing really helped my confidence grow as a child (and through life!) so I love being a part of that journey for others.

Whether you’re just beginning your singing journey, or you’re more experienced and keen to refine your technique, I will be your biggest cheerleader!
I aim to help you find the joy in singing whilst feeling safe and secure in your technique, and empower you to challenge yourself.
With training in Musical Theatre, I emphasise the importance of storytelling and performance, and how this integrates with vocal technique.
If you have an audition or performance coming up I will help you feel super confident and prepared.
Although I specialise in MT my career as a vocalist on cruise ships has covered a wide variety of styles such as pop/rock, and my Vocal Balance teacher training is applicable across all genres.
A standard lesson with me is 1 hour long, but for children I’d recommend 30 minutes.
