About Roman
You might feel frustrated when your violin technique hits a plateau. I work with students who have tried other methods and need a change in perspective.
Having earned an MMus, I treat music as a conversation rather than a rigid set of rules. I focus on classical repertoire, double stops, and music theory.
We refine your sight reading, spiccato and staccato bowing, plus grade exam prep like ABRSM or Trinity. Bowing technique and ear training are also central. I truly enjoy watching a student find their sound.

Struggling with tension often means you are playing too hard. Often the best way to improve bowing is to stop focusing entirely on the bow itself. I use my 81 students worth of experience to correct your posture and tone production. This free trial lesson allows us to gauge your starting level immediately.
You will learn to trust your ears as much as your hands. Your goal is within reach.
