About Linda
With a Bachelors of Arts degree in Chemistry Education from University of Delaware, a Masters of Science in Education from McDaniel College, ten years of teaching experience in a high school, and eighteen years in a college classroom, I am well qualified to help students learn.
I have applied myself to studying research about how people learn. I make it a priority to listen to the student and adjust the lesson so that it will provide the best possible learning experience.

I love helping students learn how to read problems carefully, recognize the type of problem and break it down into smaller steps to solve the problem.
We will start with simple problems and gradually add more complex questions as we work. I will provide plenty of practice with worked out answers. Working this way will lower your level of anxiety and build your confidence. Gradually you will become proficient at all types of chemistry problems, including balancing chemical equations, significant figures. conversions, density problems and laboratory calculations. As a person who has written many exams on the high school and college level, I have insights into what your teachers will ask.
If you are working on Organic Nomenclature I have some excellent practice problems to help you on your way.
