About Joseph
Experience and Kindness is what I offer you.
My lessons are structured around 'why?what? how?'
Why - Why do I care?
Which problems are we trying to solve, what questions to answer, where does this fit in with the rest of the subject, do we use this in everyday life?
What - What do I need to know?
I will lead you towards revealing what you already know, think you know but don't, and help to clear up any misconceptions. I aim to do this though Socratic Questioning, Dialogue, and Question & Answer; it's the best, the oldest and the most human way.
How - How do we apply this to exam-style questions to get full marks? We will work though examples together, step my step. Building the difficulty and eventually going beyond the syllabus to more challenging problems to really cement your knowledge.
For me, science is not just a career or a study; it is my fondest hobby, a mind-set and a way of life. I am confident of my broad and deep knowledge of many subjects.
The passion that I hold for science is what I hope to foster in you, not only to pass exams but to really understand and appreciate this most precious of human endeavours.

I am a Fully Qualified Chemistry teacher with over 10 years of experience. I have taught in schools in London (State and Private Schools) and abroad in International Schools. I am currently a private tutor in West London (summer), Asia (winter) and Online.
