Methodology
My teaching method is very much based in analogies, and utilisation of the intuition and understanding of the macro world we live in to relate to chemical concepts. This works especially well for explaining the laws of thermodynamics. I also firmly believe that patience and encouragement is essential to supporting learning, and combating the defeatist attitude that may set in during difficult lessons.
Experience
I am a new graduate of chemistry with a second class honours degree division 1 qualification. My degree was achieved in part due to my study method, which involved explaining key chemical concepts in simple terms to gauge my understanding of the subject: "If you cant explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough". I hope to convey some of the surprisingly simple chemical concepts that intimidating scientific language hides.
