About Harlow
My passion for Chemistry developed from observing how substances interact in everyday life and wanting to understand the principles behind these processes. I earned a Bachelor’s degree followed by a Master’s in Organic Chemistry, equipping me with deep knowledge of molecular behaviour, reactions, and experimental techniques. Over the past 9 years, I have helped students gain confidence in understanding complex chemical concepts through structured guidance and supportive teaching.
I emphasise clarity, patience, and practical application in lessons, ensuring students can connect theoretical knowledge to real-world contexts. I encourage inquiry, critical thinking, and hands-on practice, creating a calm environment where learners feel confident exploring challenging topics and asking questions.
Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with chemistry research, reading recent developments, and exploring practical applications, bringing contemporary examples into lessons. Teaching Chemistry is deeply satisfying as I witness students evolve from uncertainty to mastery, building confidence, analytical thinking, and enthusiasm for the subject. Helping students appreciate chemistry’s relevance and beauty is one of my most rewarding experiences.

Chemistry lessons become engaging when learners understand how reactions and molecular interactions shape the world around them. I cover topics such as chemical bonding, stoichiometry, reaction mechanisms, thermodynamics, and acid-base chemistry. Lessons are structured to build conceptual clarity alongside problem-solving skills. I incorporate real-world examples, guided exercises, and interactive explanations to help students connect theory to practical applications, making the subject approachable and motivating.
Lesson plans are tailored to the learner’s level. Beginners focus on foundational concepts, simple experiments, and stepwise explanations. Intermediate learners tackle multi-step calculations, molecular reasoning, and analytical exercises. Advanced students explore complex mechanisms, synthesis problems, and experimental design. Every class includes review, hands-on examples, and personalised feedback to foster continuous understanding and confidence.
Chemistry also helps students develop logical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities applicable beyond the classroom. As learners gain mastery, they approach challenges with confidence and curiosity.
