About Queenie
𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗙 Amongst the state rankers in math and science I’m working with at Tutorgum, excellent results have been achieved: ️ [Ethan Szerenga, Rosebank College], Failing Chemistry (less than 50%) to 86% in HSC ️ [Kelly Lin, St George Girls], 95 in Chem ️ [Hunter Stark, Kilarney], "C's and D's" to 1st in Physics, 1st in Math ️ [Rei Loh, Normanhurst Boys 2023], moved from 79% to 94% in Chemistry ️ [Sathmi Ranasinghe, James Ruse 2021], moved got 97 in Physics with 99.75 ATAR. ️ [Josh Taleb, 2021], moved from 64% in Year 11 Phys to 97 in HSC. You can find more stories if you google us 𝗧𝗨𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗖𝗛 ️ 𝗜 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆. When learning, I put in extra effort to understand why a formula is true, where is it applied, why it is so important for questions. Now when teaching, I show the meaning and the motivation behind concepts, which helps students “get” them on a deeper level and thus be able to answer harder questions in exams. ️ 𝟭-𝟭 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. I’m always happy to help you break down school assessment tasks, read over depth studies, written responses, and provide feedback tailored to you via text, email or even dedicated 1-on-1 time outside of class. Even if it’s 2am the day before your exam! ️ 𝟳,𝟱𝟮𝟬 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. Seeing ideas put into action was often the ‘aha!’ moment for me, where I was able to understand how a formula is used. In class, my exam styled practice questions transform concepts from abstract to concrete. It turns a random formula to something you can remember and know where to use. Every week you’ll also be getting cherry picked, exam styled questions as homework! Because they’re hard, they will push you to beyond your current ability, helping you to tackle difficult exams. ️ 𝗜 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀. This means you won't lose marks to silly mistakes, you will finish exams and have time to check, and you will know how to answer the questions at the end of the paper. I'll also refine your responses to practice exams and assessments! 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗜 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 I offer small group tutoring (around 5 students). However, I know that you have your own questions and needs. If you have questions– you’re free to ask during class but also after class! I will spend time with you 1-1 addressing any questions or doubts about the content we covered, homework or upcoming exams and assessments. Even spending 1 hour outside of class is no problem at all. If you have any questions during the week, you can just text me, email me or arrange a quick meeting - it’s all included! I’m here to help you do your best. Not sure? First lesson is only charged if you like it – free otherwise. There’s no risk to have a try! ️ $47/hr for Year 11 Be quick - spots can fill up within 1 week of announcement!

It always came out by email – our school assessment results for science. My cohort gathered in the main yard, comparing scores, whispering speculations of a few names that could (and would) dominate science for the next two years. I was never one of those names. In fact, in my first physics assessment task in Year 11, I got 65%. My problem wasn’t a sense of self-discipline, enthusiasm or even supportive parents. Yet every paper I sat in Year 11 tested that one bit of content I failed to revise the evening before. My physics marks fluctuated from 82% then down to 72% in my Preliminary exam. Eventually I was lost. I felt as though I was constantly playing a chasing game, desperately trying to bridge the gap between this hopeless reality and what I know my potential could be. My name is Queenie Pham, and in Year 12, I ended up ranking 2nd in trials in both physics and chemistry. Around half the sample answers in the marking criteria were taken directly from my exam papers. What did I do? I stopped being obsessed with having the most up-to-date notes. It’s more efficient to compile notes in the form of questions I got wrong. Research theory intensely to clear out uncertainties and grasp concepts from its fundamentals. I believe that with the correct strategies and support from a tutor, anyone can turn disappointment into confidence – and eventually, success.
