About Fiona
I have recently graduated with a 2.1 in Chinese and History from the University of Edinburgh during which I spent my third year in Beijing where I learnt Chinese and also tutored Chinese children in English.

As each student has different needs, my approach can vary.
If a student already has a good command of Chinese, I would suggest going through newspaper articles and going through speed translations which would then be corrected, or perhaps improve on oral skills -targeted areas for improvement.
If, however, a student has no experience or only basic knowledge of Chinese, I would advise picking a study book to work through. I am happy to offer the ones I worked with in during my time at university.
Because I learnt Chinese as a foreign language I have the utmost understanding for difficult it is, I am very patient and encouraging. Slow and steady wins the race!
