About Rose
Ni hao! My Chinese name is Yihua, you can also call me Rose. I live in Shanghai, China. I decided to become a licensed Mandarin teacher last year. And spent over 200 hours in professional training and eventually received certification in January of 2022.
I have done a few things in life before: an environmental awareness activist offering pro bono services at an educational magazine, a day care teacher, a volunteer organizer. In the last decade, I was a licensed interior designer. My activist most recent two years or so were spent traveling internationally, fondling with doing hand craft like Chinese knot and macramé, and self-healing.
Now I enjoy teaching Chinese so much and take it as the new journey and exploration of my life, which needs to be made up of and be shared with my students also my friends together.

I choose teaching materials from standard text course like HSK, BCT(Business Chinese Test ) and other real-life conversation videos etc., to make a proper and practical combination for the class. And you will definitely be the main role of the class with full engagement.
My class is more suitable for adults. No matter you are learning from scratch, or already had some learning experience, planning to work or live in Chinese-speaking countries, or just fascinated by the language and culture, we will find a way to help you and make the journey enjoyable as well.
