About Evita
Evita Harryson embarked on her journey in violin artistry at the age of six, commencing her studies under the guidance of Hermes Mejia and later with Mercedes Ariza. At the age of twelve, she won first prize in her first competition, marking the beginning of a promising artistic career. Her dedication to excellence led her to refine her skills over five transformative years under the tutelage of renowned mentors Paul Kantor of Rice University's Shepherd School of Music and Tim Kantor of the University of Arizona's Fred Fox School of Music, courtesy of the esteemed Fundación por la Música Gabriel del Orbe. She also received classes from Kyung Yu, Director of the Department of Music at Yale University. Evita has enriched her musical journey through participation in numerous Master Classes with internationally renowned artists such as Agustin Hadelich, Ilia Koról, David Ballesteros, and Aisha Syed. As a soloist, she has performed on prestigious stages including the Teatro Nacional de Santo Domingo and the Palacio de Bellas Artes, and is also an active participant in various chamber music projects. In recognition of her talent, Evita was selected by Fundación Sinfonía to represent the Dominican Republic as a scholarship recipient in the OAcademy Program, where she earned an Artist Diploma. In 2024 and 2025, she was invited by conductor Alondra de la Parra to perform as an active member of the PAAX GNP Festival, as well as in the Gershwin: La Vida en Azul tour. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the mentorship of Ilya Kaler and Olga Dubossarskaya Kaler. She is also an active member of the CIM Orchestra, with which she performs regularly at Severance Hall.

My lessons are aimed at students of all levels of preparation and age. I offer violin, piano, solfeggio and basic music theory in English, Spanish and Italian. I will use the first lesson to get to know the student and understand his goals, to then structure a program suited to his needs and interests. During the lesson, both the technical aspects and musicality will be explored in depth.
