About Jessica
I am a recent graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where I studied the clarinet and have received a first class BMus(Hons) Degree. During my degree I have had lots of experience in solo, chamber and particularly orchestral playing where I have had the experience of playing in rehearsals with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Birmingham Royal Ballet as part of the conservatoire training schemes. I also teach at a music service as a peripatetic teacher so I have experience of teaching 1:1 lessons as well as private students of my own. I love teaching as I enjoy exploring musical ideas with others and guiding them to reach their full potential.

My personal approach is to harness each of my student’s individual musical personality and help them shape themselves into the musician they’d like to become, encouraging them to reach their personal goals and musical milestones. I like to work on creating a solid playing technique while exploring musical ideas and how to communicate them through playing, allowing technique work and musicality to benefit from each other.
