About Hannah
Hello, my name is Hannah! I am currently on a gap year before university, and am in my third year at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's Junior Department. Following coming commended in the Juniors Guitar Prize 2025, my latest qualification is ABRSM Grade 7 Classical Guitar, currently working at a Grade 8 standard. I have also achieved both my Grade 5 theory and Advanced Higher music at A, and am currently working towards my Grade 8 theory.
Alongside 121 lessons, I am also a guitar tutor with the Friday Music Group at Pentland Community Centre in collaboration with Edinburgh Council and Reel Youth Media/Totally Sound. This project has allowed me to teach students of all ages and abilities, including those with extra support needs. I have been teaching privately for two years.
I have been in in numerous award winning guitar ensembles, including the Edinburgh Schools Classical Guitar Ensemble, James Gillespie's Senior Guitar Ensemble and a variety of groups through the RCS.
I hope to share my love of the guitar with you!

My training at Royal Conservatoire Juniors allows me to take a classical, technique based focus to guitar teaching. My lessons are for students playing from beginner to a grade 5 standard and are typically 30 minutes long. I can assist with music theory and ABRSM examinations.

I charge a 25% fee for lessons taught outwith my home to cover travel costs. For group lessons (2-4 students), each student should pay 60% of the lesson price.
