I first met Violet in September 2022, when she became my piano teacher. Over the following three years, we shared an incredible learning journey, with two-hour lessons every week. When I began, I was a complete beginner with no musical background at all. Violet’s teaching approach was outstanding. Whenever I became interested in a new piece—whether a pop song or a classical work—I could simply bring her the sheet music, and she would play it beautifully and flawlessly on the spot. Thanks to her structured and methodical approach, I became comfortable with the piano surprisingly quickly, and within just two to three years, I was able to play the pieces I loved. Learning with her felt less like formal instruction and more like making music with a trusted mentor and friend, which made the entire journey a pleasure rather than a burden. I never once felt overwhelmed or tempted to give up.

The only reason our lessons ended was because I had to leave the UK. If I were still there, I have no doubt that I would have continued studying with her for many more years to come.
