About Dennis
Admitting that you do not know why your tone sounds thin is the first step toward improvement. In our first session, we will examine your posture and bow hold to identify physical tension. My background as a performer informs how I address shifting and vibrato for my students. I provide recorded playback of tricky passages for home practice so you can visualize your progress between our meetings.
This ensures that hobbyists and performance-focused students have a clear reference for their weekly work. I invite you to join me for a session to refine your sound.

Having a BMus from Université de Montréal does not always mean a teacher understands the frustration of a beginner. I spent my formative years training as a violinist at the Conservatoire before adding voice to my repertoire.
My teaching philosophy draws on 13 years of dedication to technical clarity and musicality. I have guided 214 students toward their goals through a blend of rigorous structure and patience.
Many of my clients are hobbyists or self-taught players who finally want to solidify their foundation. A violin is a demanding companion that requires constant attention to posture. It is a joy to help you reach your performance potential.
