About Matthew
Currently living in downtown Chicago, I'm a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra (MI) and South Bend Symphony Orchestra (IN).
I'm originally from Baltimore, Maryland, but moved to Chicago for my graduate study. I loved the city so much, I ended up sticking around after graduation!

As a performer, I've been privileged to have performed with Joshua Bell, Ricardo Muti, Emmanuel Ax, Yo-Yo Ma, among many others. I am a rostered member of several professional orchestras in the midwest.
As an educator, I've maintained a private studio for 10 years. I hold an BM and MM in Violin Performance, and my pedagogical "lineage" can be traced back to the legendary Josef Gingold and Mischa Mischakoff.
My method employs a hybrid of Suzuki, Roland, Zweig and Galamian schools of training. I ensure that my students have the technical capabilities and artistic maturity to excel.
