About Janai
I started learning to play the violin when I was 8 years old and graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance. I love teaching students of all places, levels and ages and currently own my own music studio. Besides all my teaching I am an active performer and I also love playing this beautiful instrument.

All lessons are tailored to your specific needs and goals. I personally think everyone should fulfill their dreams no matter what your age is, personally I have taught students from 4 to 60 years old. The violin is a very technical instrument but with guidance, practice and patience it is possible to learn how to play it. On your first lesson I will want to get to know you and your goals in learning to play the violin. If you already own a violin we will start with basic and simple technique, like learning how to hold the bow, how to hold the violin and how to produce the sound by playing open strings. If you do not own a violin already I will guide you towards having one. If you are a beginner, I will teach you how to read music alongside learning how to play the violin. If you are an intermediate or advanced student, I will evaluate and determine what your technical and musical needs are and work towards your musical goals, either you want to do this professionally or as a hobby.
