About Alfred
I am a Classics graduate from the University of Manchester. I have a strong interest in studying lots of languages and have a passion for making Latin and Ancient Greek accessible to my students. My teaching style is relaxed and interactive, focusing on helping the students understand the answers for themselves rather than just dictating to them.

Italian
In my language classes, the main focus is on getting you comfortable translating and reading confidently rather than over-complicated grammar explanations. We will do this by exploring a variety of different Latin texts growing your ability to understand the language.
From there we will also look at set texts, exam technique and grammar questions and how to answer these in the exam.
In English, we focus on rigorous analysis to help students understand the texts on a deeper level. From this, we will go on to look at exam questions, essay writing and quote memorisation.
