About Laura
I have worked with several students with varying levels of proficiency. My previous lessons have focused on re-enforcing grammar structures and vocabulary learned in the classroom. I have also emphasized oral communication skills, and worked to improve both accents and fluency when speaking.
My college studies focused on Spanish literature. Thus, I would also be excited to work with students to enhance their reading comprehension as well as analytical and writing abilities.

I am a recent college graduate who majored in Spanish. I am very enthusiastic about the language and am excited to share that with students! In the past, I have taught Introductory Spanish to first years in college, but am open to working with all age groups and levels. I value creating a positive, comfortable space where students aren’t afraid to make mistakes, and can grow and improve their language skills as a result!
I have a flexible teaching style, and think it is important to tailor each lesson to the needs and preferences of each student. I use a combination of materials and resources depending on the goals of a lesson. These may include worksheets and textbook exercises as well as movie clips and songs to ensure that lessons are dynamic and engaging!
