About Amanda
Growing up, I've always had a passion for the written word, and others would take notice!
I'd always get asked to write someone's paper for them, or even help my mother with her homework when she was in school!
Towards the end of my high school years, Journalism began to pique my interest, and so I decided that once I got to college, that's exactly what I'll major in, and I did.
In 2014 I attended Miami Dade College where I graduated with my Associates in Arts in Journalism.
Later, I went on to attend Florida International University where I obtained my degree in Broadcast Media and Journalism with an Area of Concentration in Film Studies.
In between those years, I've written for all of my college publications including the Panther Now and South Florida Media Network, where you can still find my written published pieces and video packages (which I also created myself) today.
I even ran my own blog which I called The Blavidual Mindset. There, I wrote opinion pieces on some of my favorite films, tv shows, and music from pop culture. After a while, I stepped away from the blogging scene and dabbled into other areas of interest such as Yoga, which I later became certified in as a 200HR RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) in 2020.
