About Emily
I am new to professional lessons, I have taught family and friends guitar before and they do all now play what I have taught them, those that have really connected with playing guitar have advanced and can now play whichever songs they wish just by looking up the chords thanks to the introduction I gave them to guitar. I may seem inexperienced, but I have a passion for guitar, I love it and this is an instrument I intend to keep playing for the rest of my life. People who I have given quick little lessons to can all now play guitar, and they can all now advance if that's what they wish to do, as I have given them the skills to do so and knowing I will always be there to help.
Give me a chance to show you and prove to you that I can teach and play guitar. I won't ever pressure you into doing anything you aren't comfortable with, but I will always be there to support you in your playing, always helping you to improve and further your abilities. Even if you can already read sheets, and play chords, I will help you with anything you need refining and I can give you tips on how to learn easier, and how to play easier, and the best ways to get the most out of practise. I will never make you feel as though you're repeating the same thing every week, improvements will always be made and support will always be found when I am helping you to learn guitar.

I am a college student studying music and I have been playing guitar for 4/5 years now, I play acoustic guitar for college, but I also play electric and bass, as well as singing.
Depending on whether you already know some guitar, I will always start off with the basics of picking with all students, teaching them the strings and the notes played on them, before I delve into strumming patterns and chords. The songs will also always be read off of sheet music for picking so that they can learn to read as they go, as well as tabs being displayed underneath so that they learn how to read both tabs and sheets as both are important for a guitarist. As soon as we begin chords, it is the students choice on songs and I will be there to help and advise.
I am a friendly teacher, I will always take into consideration your pace and your style of learning. There won't be a moment that I won't check you are comfortable with what we're doing before continuing on to harder things, but you will always find yourself improving. If there is anything you're struggling with, I will ensure that I slow down and help you out.

Details
I am a student and so I do not drive and I do not have many other ways of getting around without a bus, so I would require extra money for travel to and from depending on the location, so if you need me to travel, it will admittedly cost a bit extra, but only ever the cost of a return ticket to and from home. If it is easier for lessons at my home, then that is perfectly fine, I am happy to teach at my own home. I can discuss these with you when we are arranging lessons.
