I've taken math courses throughout my schooling and I've found that certain methods work better for certain people. The beauty of math is the flexibility it has with the method used to get the result. If an equation seems difficult, you might've just not learned the best method to solve it.

I believe it's important for the student to set goals and see progress. I facilitate a healthy learning environment by providing both instruction and resources for the student. Depending on the level of math, I would have an initial introductory session where I can understand the student's skill set.
