About Michael
I'm a native Spanish speaker, learning my Spanish before I learnt English with my parents. However, I speak English fluently as I was born in London. I've lived in Colombia a few years and constantly travel to Spain. Here I have learnt to understand culture, preferences, different dialects and understand how Latin-American communities compare to the traditional European Spanish communities. I recently travelled to Mexico in the Autumn of 2019. Amazing experience. Here I learnt a lot about the culture, their customs and values and their history. It was because of this that I based my dissertation around business ventures within South and Latin-America. Being an International Business Graduate, I am able to understand others and communicate effectively, efficiently and patiently, as I understand everyone has very different learning capacities and drives. However, my goal is to push people to learn to communicate in Spanish much like a native and eliminate that robotic feel which is seen in many students due to their lack of confidence and learning style. I strive to make my learning fun, interactive and push people out of their comfort zone in order to learn at a fast-paced and exciting level! I have completed GCSE and A-Level Spanish with A* qualifications.
