About Paula
I learned English since I was 3 years old and I always dreamed on teaching so I pursue my dreams until I got a BA in English Teaching with a Postgraduate degree on ESP (English for Specific Purposes) along with CAE, TKT and TESOL certifications.
I was a speaker in International Events from Universidad de Guadalajara and UVM. I am the author of a Reading Comprehension Guide for archivists and librarians.
I have worked for over 20 years teaching at all levels and working at UNITEC - Postgraduate Studies, Tecmilenio, Thomas Jefferson Institute, The Anglo and Colegio Hebreo Maguen David.
I have applied English while working with Leadership through Emotional Intelligence and even gave a workshop for junior high parents. Since I lived in the USA, I raised my son as a bilingual person and I acquire a native pronunciation.
I obtained a 100% passing grade for all my students who applied for Cambridge Certifications. I have worked in IB schools in Mexico City by applying English in a global context and helping my students in developing IB attributes.
Teaching impacts people's lives beyond the limits a language might have because we need to immerse ourselves in its culture, traditions and history in order to acquire it in a more natural way.

My classes are based on the communicative approach since you don't need to only study vocabulary and grammar but to have an overall communication.
Nowadays, technology can immerse learners in the culture, customs and history from other countries who are in need of traveling, studying or work.
I combined it with Affective-Huministic approach because our emotional awareness can lead us to develop our potential in learning a second language without any fear in taking risks and making mistakes.

De las mejores maestras que he tenido. Es una excelente persona, le apasiona lo que hace y te motiva a aprender.
Paciencia, perfección y pasión son 3 palabras con las que describiría a esta maestra. Tome clases durante un año con ella y me enseñó lo interesante y lo bueno de tener un buen inglés.
