About Sayoni
• My musical journey began when I was 10 years old.
• It was in Shrutinandan where my journey started, a music kingdom headed by my Guruji
Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty and Guruma Smt. Chandana Chakraborty.
• I continued my training under Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty and Smt. Chandana Chakraborty and
other teachers in Shrutinandan for 15 long years i.e. from the year 1997 – 2011.
• I have also done my graduation with honours in Vocal Music in the year 2008
• Completed my Masters of Arts in 2011 specialising in Khayal form of singing.
• I am knowledgeable creative and resourceful musician and teacher with more than 10 years’ experience in teaching music theory, history, and practical skills.
• Participated in many music competitions, like Doverlane Music Competitions etc.
• I have also participated in several workshops and seminars.
• Have been nominated as an examiner for board examinations (I.C.S.E & C.B.S.E).
