About Mary
Teaching is one of my passions. From homeschooling my children, to helping others with difficult learning tasks.
I believe it is all about figuring out how the student learns best and working within that framework. Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. I like playing to my students' strengths, helping them progress quickly. This builds confidence and makes future learning easier, more enjoyable.
Teenagers are one of my favorite groups to work with, though I am willing to assist anyone.

I have worked with the literacy council, tutoring adult learners.
My degree is in communications, meaning that I have built solid writing skills for interpersonal and business needs.
Additionally, I have experience as a public speaker through Toastmasters. I have led groups and spoken at conferences.
Teaching others gives me great joy and I always learn a lot from my students in the process.
My availability is flexible and I am willing to work with you to get the best possible outcome.
