About Carlos
I started playing the violin when I was four years old. My mom is a music teacher, so she taught me the basics. I took weekly lessons from a local violin teacher throughout elementary and middle school. In high school, I joined the school orchestra and also played in a youth orchestra outside of school. I continued taking weekly lessons and practicing at home every day.
I went to college for music performance and studied with some amazing teachers. I performed in several orchestras and chamber groups while in college. After graduation, I moved to New York City to pursue a career as a professional musician. I've been freelancing for the past few years, playing in orchestras, chamber groups, and on various recording projects. It's a lot of work but I absolutely love it!

There are many reasons why I am a good violin teacher. I have been playing the violin for over 20 years and have been teaching for over 10 years. I have a lot of experience performing in orchestras and chamber groups, and I have also taught privately. I am very patient and understand that every student learns at a different pace. I also make sure to tailor my lessons to each individual student's needs and interests.
