I cannot recommend Ian as a piano teacher enough! My wife and I have both been learning piano with him for around a year and a half and have both been really impressed and enjoyed the lessons greatly. His understanding of music comes across so clearly and imparts that knowledge on. He clearly genuinely wants to make you play each piece to the best standard that you can, but also matches that with a very friendly student-led focus. I cannot possibly have progressed as much as I have without Ian as a teacher. As a final note, it's fantastic having him as a teacher just to hear him demonstrate a piece to you with such skill!
