I like to be interactive with my students, I don't like to just be talking for the whole lessons. I believe in student engagement and how that is essential for a proper understanding of the material. A lesson would typically be a section of me explaining the material followed by a Q&A section.
Graduated with a first class degree in Electronics and Communications from the University of Sheffield. Currently doing MSc Computer Science at UCL. I have given GCSE and A-level maths lessons in Egypt and helped a lot of students with their exams.

• Cinema booking application
I worked in a two-person team to design and develop an application that handles bookings for a cinema. The application was developed using Java and the GUI was built using Java-FX. The application stored information such as user details, movie information, and bookings in a local JSON file which is manipulated when using the application.
• Questionnaire application for the Institute of Child Health
As a team of three students, we met with a client at the Institute of Child Health (ICH) to establish their requirements for a mobile application that makes long questionnaires digital to make it easier for patients to fill and for researchers to access the information. The application is being developed using the Ionic framework based on AngularJS and connected to Firebase to store the information.
• Final Bachelor Project: Home Automation System
• Pokémon TCG
I am working on a desktop game based on the Pokémon trading card game. I am creating the game in Java in my own time to improve my object-oriented programming knowledge.
• Design Project
I worked in a team of 3 to design and program a microcontroller circuit to function as a digital lock. The circuitry was designed from scratch and suitable components chosen to meet low power consumption requirements.
• Vending Machine
I wrote and tested code for a Freescale microcontroller to control a hot drink vending machine.
• UCL Bay
I worked in a team to design and build an auction website similar to eBay with a functioning database system and front end. The project involved database design in SQL, as well as PHP, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS. Finally the website was hosted on Azure.

• Designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).
• Designing CAD models for products.
• Meeting suppliers and discussing the feasibility of project designs.
• Working in a team and coming up with solutions to difficult problems.
The final seven weeks of my placement I was transferred to the ABB factory in Cairo, Egypt. My work there included:
• Researching into manufacturing techniques of steel enclosures.

Extra-Curricular Activities and Volunteering
• Sheffield Mentor September 2014 – June 2017
My role as a mentor was to guide and advise first year students on issues they are faced with, both academic and personal. I helped new students to settle down in Sheffield and solve their issues or directed them to the relevant personal.
• Sheffield Volunteering Committee – Connections Coordinator March 2015 – March 2016
I was the leader of the connections team; our role was to reach out to students and societies and connect them with local volunteering opportunities.
• Academic Representative September 2016 – June 2017
I was elected by my course mates to be an Academic Representative. My job was to gather the views of students about the course and present these views to staff at departmental meetings. I then discuss these views and work with staff to find suitable solutions to any problems that students are facing.
• Societies Committee – New Societies Representative March 2016 – March 2017 The Societies Committee manages all societies within the Students Union. My role was to review new societies applications and give my recommendation on whether the proposed society should be approved or not. If approved, I worked with the new society and help them get started with their activities.
• Sheffield RSPCA
I volunteered at the Sheffield RSPCA animal shelter, where I helped in caring for the animals in the facility and got them ready for adoption.
