About Sofia
Hi, I’m Sofia, a professional classical pianist and piano teacher with a conservatoire education and over 7 years of teaching experience.
I have extensive performing experience as a soloist and chamber musician and am a prizewinner of international piano competitions. Alongside performing, teaching has always been an important part of my musical life.
I work with children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to advanced students. I can help with ABRSM exams, auditions, competitions and performances, or simply learning to play with confidence and enjoyment.
My lessons are friendly and encouraging, but always focused on real progress. I adapt my approach to each student and also have experience working with neurodivergent students.
My aim is not only to teach students how to play the piano, but to help them develop their own musical voice, confidence and genuine love for music.

I teach piano to students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced musicians. Every student is different, so I adapt my lessons to their personality, goals and way of learning.
My lessons combine piano playing with technique, musicality, sight-reading and, where appropriate, elements of music theory, harmony and ear training. I want my students not only to play the right notes, but to understand the music and develop confidence and independence at the piano.
Whether you are learning for enjoyment or working towards a specific goal, I can help with ABRSM exams, auditions, competitions and performances. I also work with advanced students who are looking for additional guidance alongside their main teacher.
With younger students, I keep lessons engaging and encouraging while building strong foundations from the very beginning.

I believe that working with her is an excellent choice for anyone who wishes to make serious progress in piano performance.Sofiia is professional and very tolerant teacher, despite her kindness she remains very demanding which helps to achieve results and be more disciplined.
I recommend Sofiia as one of the best piano teachers here in Glasgow.View more recommendations
