About Tanmoy Masroor
I completed a PhD in Musicology and Performance at the University of Sheffield. I started playing the piano since the age of 7 and performing since the age of 9. I have been performing in various concerts, small and big, solo and ensemble. I have also been playing the piano accompaniment. Presently, I am a piano accompanist at the University of Sheffield Medics’ Choir. I completed Music at IGCSE and I have a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Music. I also completed the ABRSM Grade 8 Piano Performance and Music Theory exams. Additionally, I voluntarily participate in community events and I participate in a number of choirs.

I am willing to give lessons to students of all age groups and skill levels. I teach using hands-on interactive methods instead of only one-way communications and I try to make my lessons fun and enjoyable. I try to establish good understanding with students which helps the lessons to proceed more smoothly. In addition to demonstrating on the keyboard, I use videos to demonstrate my points. My lessons are one hour long. I can help students prepare for their music certification exams, both theory and practical (such as ABRSM and Trinity College). I can also prepare students to play just for fun.
