About Oxana
Oxana focuses on the joy and enjoyment of lessons and tailors lessons to the students' preferences, which also includes gaining a solid technical foundation. And even if a student doesn't have aspirations of starting a career as a professional musician, the technical and theoretical foundation that students gain in her lessons allows them to maintain their skills and abilities on a musical instrument for many years to come. Oxana believes that the goal has been achieved if the student leaves the lesson inspired by their own successes and with a burning desire to achieve even greater results.

Oxana has over 15 years of experience teaching violin and piano. She uses a variety of student-centered approaches to maintain the enjoyment and confidence of learning a musical instrument. Oxana is also a highly accomplished performer, having played extensively in symphony and chamber orchestras as a professional violinist and soloist. She holds a Master of Arts in Violin Performance (with honors) from the College of Music and a diploma from the Kazan State Conservatory (with honors).
Oxana welcomes students of all abilities and ages. She has successful experience working in piano class with students diagnosed with autism.
Oxana works with students on or off ABSRM depending on the student's goals and wishes. Each person is unique and has different goals, so Oxana applies different teaching methods, believing that each student should leave the lesson having enjoyed learning and feeling capable of playing pieces of any complexity.
The duration of the lesson depends on the age of the student - from 30 minutes to 60 minutes.

Oxana has been teaching our son for over a year now and we are very pleased with the progression and the way lessons are going. Our son is on spectrum and we were worried how it will all go, but Oxana is so patient and attentive, which makes the lessons flawless. We started with half an hour lessons and then progressed to 45min ones as now our son is patient and used to this, so there was more than just a piano lesson for him, much more is given for his attention to detail etc. Oxana always comes on time and communicates well, we highly recommend her as a teacher if you want someone with great experience and someone who really thrives for good results!
I have been having violin lessons with Oxana for three years in which time I have seen great progress in my playing. She is a professional, patient and encouraging teacher who knows how to keep lessons challenging and interesting. I throughly enjoy being taught by Oxana and highly recommend her to others.
