About Tara
I am a qualified teacher with over 12 years experience. I became a private tutor 7 years ago. It began as a favour, but it very quickly grew into a passion. I have taught a range of ages from aged 5 through to 65!
I feel very privileged to teach on a one to one basis, as it gives me the opportunity to really focus on the individual, finding their strengths and weakness and addressing any gaps to ensure the knowledge becomes secure.
I pride myself as an excellent and hardworking professional, who tailors lessons to suit the needs of the individual child. I have an excellent working relationship with all of my students that is built on respect and trust. Most of my lessons have been acquired through recommendation, which I believe speaks volumes about myself, and the quality of my work.

My tuition covers a range of requirements such as bringing pupils up to the level required for national expectations, helping pupils gain confidence and self-belief in either maths or English, preparation for 11+ exams, coaching for selective schools entry exams, SATs revision and holiday tuition. I also work on Skype with students from France, who speak fluent English, but lack skills in reading and writing in English.
