About Vaughn
I am a passionate and dedicated flute tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, working with students from school to college level and helping them grow in music with confidence. Music has always been a source of inspiration in my life, and I enjoy sharing that inspiration with my students. Over the years, I have helped many learners progress from beginners to confident performers, which has been one of my greatest achievements.
I have also guided students in preparing for performances and competitions, helping them overcome stage fear and express themselves freely. My teaching style is simple, supportive, and adaptable, focusing on strong fundamentals such as breathing techniques, finger coordination, tone clarity, and rhythm understanding.
I also encourage creativity and enjoyment in learning. I take time to understand each student’s needs and tailor my lessons accordingly. My goal is to create a positive and motivating environment where students feel encouraged to learn, practise, and succeed.

I follow a student-focused teaching methodology based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to help students learn flute effectively. My goal is to make learning simple, enjoyable, and confidence-building. I begin by understanding the student’s strengths and areas for improvement so I can guide them properly.
I motivate students by setting achievable goals and appreciating their efforts, which helps them stay consistent. Communication helps me explain important techniques like breathing, fingering, posture, and tone production in a clear and simple manner. With integrity, I focus on building strong fundamentals and guiding students honestly.
I correct mistakes patiently and ensure steady improvement. Creativity helps me design engaging lessons by including songs, exercises, and interactive activities. Along with flute, I also teach music theory, rhythm, and ear training to support complete musical growth.
