About Lisa

Hey there! I'm Lisa, an award-winning Animation Director and Visual Designer with a love for all things film. I live to push the boundaries of the medium, with each piece in my portfolio being a unique expression of my originality and commitment to exploring new techniques. For the last number of years, I have held full ownership of IADT's Animation Portfolio Course. Displaying an in-depth knowledge and passion for Animation and the Film industry. Here I actively engage with my students to ensure each portfolio is tailored to the individual and up to the standard of excellence that IADT is known to produce. I continuously and tirelessly, refine and deliver course content to attract and cultivate emerging animation talent in a safe and inclusive environment! As an educator, I consider it a privilege to work with young artists and help them find their feet in any creative field they desire!

At the heart of my teaching methodology is a commitment to fostering creativity, self-expression, and skill development in a personalized and engaging way. Here's an outline of a typical lesson to give you a glimpse of what to expect: Lesson Structure: 1. Introduction (5 minutes): Brief overview of the lesson's goals and objectives. Connection to previous lessons (if applicable). 2. Warm-up (10 minutes): Engaging activities to stimulate creativity and set a positive tone. Quick exercises to loosen up and activate the artistic mindset. 3. Core Concept Exploration (15 minutes): In-depth discussion and demonstration of the key artistic principles. Visual aids and examples to illustrate concepts for better understanding. 4. Hands-On Practice (30 minutes): Guided step-by-step exercises tailored to individual skill levels. Continuous feedback and encouragement to nurture artistic growth. Emphasis on experimentation and pushing boundaries. 5. Creative Exploration (10 minutes): Encouragement to explore personal style and artistic voice. Free-form creation with guidance and support. 6.
