"Orchestral silence reveals the subtle tension in a musician's stance, which is why I prioritize deep listening after 10 years of professional performance. Helping students refine left hand agility and shifting positions creates the foundation for complex bowing technique and precise ear training. When I left the Midwest orchestral circuit to teach full-time, I realized that sight reading and rhythm are merely tools for expression.
Tuning by ear and mastering spiccato or staccato bowing remains a quiet obsession of mine, reflecting my Suzuki training across 5 levels. Music feels like a conversation where I constantly learn from the curious students I guide."
