About Sam
As a vocal instructor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a BM in Jazz Vocal Performance, I offer personalized singing lessons for performers at all stages. I work with school students, college singers, and adult or professional vocalists. My focus is musical theater and Broadway performance, where singing is deeply connected to acting and presence. I help students develop character through song, guiding them to tell stories with honesty and clarity. Stage presence is a major focus, and I support singers in building confidence and focus. I specialize in belt technique, ensuring it is developed safely and sustainably. Vocal agility is another key area of my teaching, preparing singers for fast transitions and demanding material. My jazz training supports strong ear training, harmony skills, improvisation, and music theory knowledge. These tools help singers become versatile and confident musicians.
