All my current guitar and piano students are working on their classical grades, I find it the best way to learn even if students don't actually take the exam.
It is definitely the fastest and most thorough way to learn to play guitar properly.
Often people want to skip the initial stages and decide to learn without grades and though it does seem the quickest way it's not usually the best as it leaves gaps in ones technique and understanding of music.
I often prepare students for auditions and exams mixing SLS and diaphragm breathing Bel Canto techniques.
I use a combination of Vowel/Consonant exercises like the ones used in SLS ( speech level singing) to balance the voice and extend the l range in healthy yet effective way.
I'm qualified to teach either classical, mainly following the ABRSM grades or pop / jazz and soul singing using the trinity and guildhall Rock School Grade program or simply working on vocal coaching with students.

I can always be sure that I will thoroughly enjoy a singing lesson with Cris! She is very professional, knowledgeable and has an excellent ear for your singing. Since day one, she has taught appropriate exercises that suit my current vocal development and helped me sing any song that I may choose, often altering the key or tempo to suit my voice.
My name is Nikki Jamal. Singing has always been my biggest dream. But I needed to take vocal lessons so badly. I found out about Cris online and very soon she started giving me vocal lessons. I think she is the greatest teacher i've ever met in my life and I have the biggest respect for her to help me sing. Cris helped me get prepared for the national selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2011 and finally i became a winner of Eurovision Song Contest 2011.
Having classes with Cris helped to get the lead role in "Threepenny Opera" that's going to tour the Uk from February until March. It will be the first time that I will be in a Musical, and one of my favorite pieces of Theatre. in two sessions of forty minutes each, and with her strict professional spirit, she gave me confidence and explained me via exercises the best way to explore my voice. I am very grateful to have her as a teacher
