About Sarah
I am happy and friendly and like to enjoy lessons. I have a good sense of humour and have lots of patience. I love the moment when my students grasp something and are proud of themselves.
I have been teaching for 26 years now. With 26 years' experience I have taught a lot of pupils a lot of skills and I’m confident I will be able to help my students not just with reading skills but to thrive, to love reading and understand how they learn which will enable them to be successful, lifelong learners.

I like to get to know my students and work out how they learn. Do they need visual cues, are they learners who need to listen then do. I want to make sure that when I’m teaching I know how to best teach you and not just what to teach you. That way the learning we are going to be doing together will have more opportunities to be one stuck in long-term memory and therefore you’ll remember them better. I like to do little recap, retrieval activities at the beginning of the sessions to help that knowledge stick!
