About Leah
My name is Leah,
For the last four years, I have been teaching core content in a 5th grade classroom. This content includes math, reading, writing, science and social studies. One of my main roles has been to create individualized plans for students at all levels, then adapting instruction to help them meet proficiency with all content.
As a technology graduate student, I believe that technology can greatly increase students' access to content so use it during a lot of my lessons. A large benefit of this course of study has been the introduction to educational games and instruction on programming individualized online tools for students.
I look forward to taking on more learners and helping you access knowledge in new and exciting ways!

I teach general math with a hands-on, engaging approaching utilizing technology to enhance student's independent practice.
My lessons are usually 15 minutes, then independent practice with the concept and support, checking for understanding throughout.
I currently teach 5th grade, but I am qualified to teach up to 6th and have experience K-5.
