About Marissa
I am an honors biology student who currently attends Howard University and have a 3.8 GPA. I graduated from high school with a 4.46 GPA. I have experience tutoring and simply helping all of my friends with chemistry, as I’ve taken 6 chemistry courses throughout my academic career, excluding labs. I have a passion for helping others and believe it is my purpose!

I tutored as a volunteer to my fellow undergraduate students for General Chemistry I, but I’m open to teaching any kind of chemistry! I’m not afraid to take things slow and thoroughly explain things, what matters is your understanding! First explaining the concept then doing worked examples are my favorite ways to teach.

Marissa is an excellent teacher who learns how to help you by observing your way of learning and then hones her teaching style to what’s needed to help the student excel.
