Looking to tutor year 10/11 GCSE Maths students. I believe that the real learning starts after you have covered all the content in your lessons, that is, by practicing what you have learnt and applying it to exam questions. I think it's important that students have a proper understanding of what the maths means and why they're doing it, as this leads to more enjoyment of maths, and a much greater ability to apply it to unfamiliar situations, which is becoming more and more important with the new maths GCSE.
I'm an A level student studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I achieved a 9 in Maths GCSE and an A* with distinction in Further Maths Level 2 Qualification in 2017. I have never formally tutored before, but am always helping out my classmates and enjoy assisting people in their understanding of a topic.
Personal Profile: I am consistently punctual and very diligent around my academic studies. I enjoy helping my peers in their understanding of the subject content, and often find myself at the classroom whiteboard guiding my classmates through difficult questions. I'm looking to tutor in order to raise money for an expedition to Borneo in 2019, and thought it would make the most of my strengths.
