About Diya
I’m currently an undergraduate student at the London School of Economics (LSE) studying Mathematics with Economics. As someone studying maths at a deeper level, I’m learning more and more about maths and its uses every day, and would love to help others achieve their potential and come to love maths like I do. It can be so rewarding and intellectually stimulating once you get through to the root of maths! I’m very fortunate to have had teachers who introduced me to what maths truly entails, and I would love to do the same for my students. But most of all my goals are to boost confidence and teach them skills that they can apply to all their subjects, helping them succeed and be able to go on to do what they love.

My lessons typically range from an hour to two hours. I like to start with theory, talking through the concepts and oftentimes provide background information which helps understand why the theory is important. From there, I like to work through a couple of examples with the students of increasing difficulty before giving students some questions to try themselves. Questions are always welcome and during the session I will try to ask as many questions myself to test that the students have fully grasped the theory!
I have 2 years of experience tutoring and in that time have learnt a lot about what does and doesn’t work; and especially having sat my own A-Levels relatively recently, I can definitely help work through the course successfully.
