About Simran
One of the biggest reasons I wanted to become a tutor is because I know what it’s like to struggle in a traditional classroom. During my own GCSEs and A Levels, I often found it difficult to ask questions or admit when I didn’t understand something. Looking back, I know I would have benefited enormously from having someone who could explain concepts in a way that made sense to me, without any pressure or judgement.
I believe that every student is capable of succeeding, but not every student learns in the same way. Sometimes all it takes is a different explanation
My goal isn’t just to improve grades, although I’m always happy to help students achieve those. I also want to build confidence and help students feel comfortable asking questions, and developing a genuine understanding of the subject. I’ll meet you where you are and help you progress at a pace that’s right for you.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to suit your individual needs and goals. Whether you’re aiming for a Grade 9, working towards a pass, or simply looking to build confidence, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Alongside teaching the content, I can help with revision planning, time management, exam technique, practice questions, and building effective study habits. I believe understanding is far more valuable than memorising, so I focus on helping students develop confidence in the subject as well as improving their grades.
As someone who is neurodivergent, I understand that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning. I’m committed to creating a patient, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I’m happy to work with students of all abilities, including those with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, or anyone who benefits from a more personalised approach.
Throughout our lessons, we’ll regularly check what’s working, what isn’t, and adapt our approach together so that every session is as effective as possible. My goal is to help every student reach their own potential while making science feel far less intimidating and much more enjoyable.
