About Sydney
My name is Sydney, I am currently a senior at FAU studying exercise science looking to graduate in August. My plan is to become a physical therapist after obtaining my DPT upon graduation from my bachelor's. I am 21 and have been passionate about language and traveling since I was young. I spent a semester in French my junior year of high school to improve after taking french for four years; and now I am trying to learn Spanish. For these reasons, I love teaching others my native language the same way the French and Spanish have done for me.

I take my time with all my students and offer a learning approach that caters to the student's individual needs and learning style.
Regardless of if you are seeking lessons for school or you simply wish to be fluent in another language, I will prioritize your goals and help you to excel on your english learning journey.
My typical lesson plan consists of analyzing an English writing and a short video with the student to determine how much of it is understood by the student and go from there. If the student is more proficient, I will give them more challenging writings and videos to review and have more challenging conversations with them to improve vocabulary. If the student proves to be a beginner, I would start by giving them vocabulary lists with translations and working on basic grammar while also attempting to have simple conversations in English.
My approach is effective at language improvement as I provide the student with opportunities to advance in reading, writing, and spoken English without being overly challenging in order to not overwhelm the student and move at their own pace.
