About Kabir
I'm a public health student with a background that spans biology, chemistry, and even some computer science, which is part of why I ended up tutoring across so many subjects. I got into tutoring because I remembered what it felt like to sit through a class where a concept just didn't click until someone explained it a different way, and I wanted to be that person for other students. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all teaching: some students need visuals, some need to talk through their reasoning out loud, some just need more reps on the same type of problem. My job is to figure out which one you are and adapt from there. Outside of tutoring, I'm genuinely curious about science and how it intersects with real-world systems like healthcare, which keeps me engaged with the material I teach rather than just running through a script. I want every session to leave you a little more confident than when it started, not just further along in a syllabus.

I tutor SAT prep, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English, working with high school and early college students who want to actually understand the material, not just memorize it. My approach starts with a quick diagnostic to find where the gaps really are, then I build sessions around those specific weak points rather than re-teaching everything from scratch. A typical lesson opens with a fast review of the last topic, moves into the new concept broken into small, testable pieces, then shifts to practice problems where I watch you work and correct thinking in real time, not just answers. I bring a science and quantitative background across bio, chem, and public health, so I can connect concepts across subjects instead of teaching them in isolation. Sessions are goal-driven: we track specific score or grade targets and adjust the plan as you improve.
