About Marie
My name is Marie McCafferty and I am in my final college year. I was born and raised in the heart of the Gaeltacht in west Donegal and therefore I am extremely passionate about the Irish language as it’s my first language. In my past school placements I have taught to many different standards of Irish and each time has been as rewarding as the last. Nothing beats the sight of a students eyes light up when they finally understand an aspect they were struggling with.

I believe the best way to learn any language is by submerging yourself in the language inside and outside the classroom. I was raised in the Gaeltacht and thats how I myself learned. My classes are exam focused ensuring students can achieve the best to their ability. My Gaeltacht toung has helped past students excel in the oral and written Irish exam.
