About Liza
Hi! I’m a 19-year-old English tutor from Sydney, Australia, with a Ukrainian background. I’m fluent in both English and Russian, and I’m currently learning Ukrainian and German. I’ve always had a love for languages and a passion for teaching, which is what inspired me to start tutoring. My goal is to help students feel confident and comfortable using English in everyday situations. I teach learners of all ages and tailor my lessons to suit each person’s pace, interests, and learning style. Whether you're just starting out or looking to improve your speaking skills, I aim to make lessons engaging, practical, and enjoyable. With experience tutoring children in the past (in math), I now focus fully on English language teaching. I’m patient, supportive, and genuinely enjoy helping others learn and grow. I take a student-centered approach to English language teaching, tailoring each lesson to the learner’s age, level, and goals. I focus on building confidence and communication skills through a mix of speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities. My lessons are interactive and practical, using real-life materials to keep learning engaging and relevant.
For younger learners, I incorporate games, storytelling, and visuals to make lessons fun and accessible. With teens and adults, I use discussions, role-plays, and task-based learning to build fluency and accuracy.
Lessons typically last 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the student’s age and needs.
I previously tutored children in mathematics. While I now focus solely on English language teaching, my background in tutoring helps me explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
My lessons are suitable for learners of all ages and levels.
